On the afternoon of Saturday 19th December, after our last service before Christmas, several members of the WCG Camberwell congregation walked around to the Camberwell Green Care Home where we sang Christmas Songs and Carols to the residents. It was a joyful occasion with some of the residents requesting their favourite carols. It was lovely to see many of the faces we had seen there on previous occasions (see our September 2008 page), Mary, Lilian and Violet plus many new faces.
While enjoying a welcome cup of tea the residents were presented with Christmas gifts from the church. We look forward to the next time we can bring a little joy into the lives of the people in the care home. Perhaps next Easter!
